Carrot Halwa (Carrot Halwa)

Gajar no Halwa (Carrot Halva) is famous Gujarati winter sweets. Gajar Ka Halwa is a simple and easy to prepare dessert.

Ingredients

  1. 600 gm Carrot
  2. 3 tbsp Desi Ghee
  3. 150 gm Sugar
  4. 1 cup Milk
  5. 150 gm Mawa (Khoya)
  6. 1 /2 tsp Cardamom powder
  7. 1 tbsp Almonds (Chopped)
  8. 1 tbsp Cashew nuts (Chopped)

Instructions

Wash, peel and grate the carrots.
Take 2 tbsp ghee in a pan and roast grated carrots in it at slow flame till ghee separates.
Add milk and sugar in it and stir well for 5 minutes.
Then add mawa and 1 tbsp ghee in it and stir slowly till 5 minutes.
Now add cardamom powder, almonds and cashew nuts mix well.
Remove from flame. Halwa is ready for serve.
Keep it at room temperature for 2 days or in freeze for 5-6 days.

Notes

You can add milk cream instead of mawa in halwa.
