Dal Bhat is a indispensable part of Guajarati thali. Bhat means boiled rice. Dal Chawal is light, easy to made and delicious rice-lentils recipe. Dal Rice is nutritious, healthy and easy to digest.

When I have no time to make food, I prefer to make dal bhat with curd, papad, lemon pickle and butter milk and salad. This makes complete meal. Many people prefer dal with roti also. There are many flavor of dal like sour, sweet, and spicy. Gujarati Dal is normally tastes sweet.
