Moraiya ni Khichdi

Moraiya ni Khichdi is popular Gujarati fasting recipes. It is quick and easy to to made fasting recipes. Normally it served with sabudana khichdi, sukhi bhaji, curd etc.

Ingredients

  1. 125 gm Moraiya
  2. 50 gm ground nuts
  3. 2 small Potatoes
  4. 1 tbsp coriander leaves (finely chopped)
  5. For seasoning
  6. ¼ tsp black pepper powder
  7. ½ tsp cumin seeds
  8. ¼ tsp red chilli powder
  9. ¼ tsp turmeric powder
  10. 2 tsp Ginger-chili paste
  11. 2 tsp Sugar
  12. ½ cup Curds
  13. Salt to taste
  14. 2-3 tbsp oil
  15. 5-6 curry leaves
  16. 2 cup water

Instructions

Wash moraiya and cut potatoes into small pieces.
Then crush ground nuts carefully.
Heat oil in a pan add cumin seeds, curry leaves, turmeric powder and water.
When water start boiling add moraiya, grated potatoes, ground nuts, ginger chili paste, salt, red chili powder and black pepper powder. And stir well. When moraiya gets cooked, add sugar and curds. Mix well and garnish with coriander leaves.
So Moraiya ni Khichdi is ready for serve.
