Muthia Dhokla

Muthia Dhokla is a variation in Gujarati Dhokla. It is made using leftover veg or other items.
Ingredients
  • 400 gm Bottle gourd
  • 1 cup Wheat flour
  • 1 cup Chickpea flour
  • 1 cup Pearl millet flour
  • ½ cup Suji
  • 2 tsp Garlic paste
  • 1 tsp Ginger paste
  • 3 tsp Green chili paste
  • 2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Red chili powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin coriander powder
  • 2 tsp Lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Soda
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • Seasoning
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 3 tsp sesame seeds
  • 2 tsp mustard seeds
  • 6-7 curry leaves
Instructions
  1. Peel and grate the bottle gourd.
  2. Add salt, garlic paste, ginger paste, green chili paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin coriander powder, soda, lemon juice and sugar in it. Mix it well.
  3. Now add all flour in it and make dough.
  4. Divide in to muthiya shape.
  5. Add water in steamer bowl and place muthiya over it.
  6. Steam for 15-20 minutes.
  7. When it becomes cool, cut in to small pieces.
  8. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, sesame seeds and curry leaves.
  9. When it is splluter, add muthiya and stir well.
  10. Serve with tea and catch up.

    It would have been better if you have mentioned the names of all the ingredients in your recipes in gujarati or Hindi. It will be easy to understand. Thank you.
