Paratha (whole Wheat Flat Bread) is one of popular traditional breakfast recipe in India, especially in North India. Normally parathas are rich of ghee or cooking oil, so it gives more desi tastes. Normally Paratha serves with chutney, pickles, yogurts, chili and tea.
There are lots of variants of parathas. Here I am posting plain paratha, which is easy to make and tastes delicious as breakfast or meal. Plain paratha is healthy and delicious recipe.
- 300 gm Wheat flour
- 1 tbsp ghee
- Salt to taste
- 2 tsp Cumin seeds
- Water according to requirement
- Desi Ghee
Take flour in a mixing bowl.
Mix salt, cumin seeds, ghee, adds water slowly and stirring it till dough starts to come together.
Keep stirring; add more water if dough is still dry. Dough should form a ball.
Dough should be medium.
Now knead the dough and divide in to medium balls.
Deep one ball in to flour, roll it in to thin dice.
Apply ghee on it.
Fold one side and reapply ghee on fold.
Again fold like triangle shape.
Add dry flour to keep prevent it sticking to the rolling surface.
Roll out like triangle shape.
Heat tawa.at medium flame and roast paratha both side with ghee properly.
