Chana Batata nu shaak is spicier, delicious and very healthy vegetarian Gujarati shaak.
Ingredients
- 250 gm Chana (Chickpea)
- 2 medium size bataka (potatoes)
- Water according to requirement
- Seasoning
- 4 tbsp Oil
- 1 Cumin coriander powder
- 2 tbsp Red chili powder
- ¼ tbsp turmeric powder
- Lemon Juice
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Wash chana and soak it for7-8 hour in warm water.
- Drain water from chana.
- Heat pressure cooker and add chana and add water till it deep. Lid the cover.
- Cook till 9-10 whistles.
- When cooker cool, open it.
- Drain water from chana.
- Now boil potatoes for 5 whistles.
- When cooker cool, open and peel it.
- Cut in to small pieces.
- Now heat oils at medium flame in a pan.
- Add turmeric powder, potatoes, chana in it.
- Stir properly.
- Add red chili powder, salt and cumin coriander powder, lemon juice and mix it well.
- Serve with roti, rice-dal etc.
