Gujarati Kadhi
Kadhi is a light Gujarati Food. There are many variant of Kadhi in North India. Traditional Gujarati Kadhi is sweeter than other variants.
Ingredients
- 500 ml Butter milk
- ½ tbsp chickpea flour
- 1 tsp ghee
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 5-6 curry leaves
- 2 tsp ginger chili paste
- Pinch of asafetida
- Pinch of garam masala
- Salt to taste
- ½ tbsp coriander leaves (fine chopped)
For seasoning
Instructions
Add chickpea flour in to butter milk.
Now blend it properly.
Heat ghee in a pan at medium flame.
Add cumin seeds in it.
When it crackles add asafetida, ginger, chili paste, butter milk and salt in it.
Keep flame slow and cook for half an hour. In between stir properly.
Last add garam masala and stir well.
Garnish with coriander leaves.
Notes
Serve hot with Gujarati Khichdi , Roti, Bhaat, Jeera Rice, Vaghareli Khichdi or Bhakhri.
Add sugar or jaggery to make is sweeter.
