Puri is famous Indian Fried Bread. Puri makes delicious combo with Halwa, Shrikhand, Basundi, Batata nu Shaak or any other subji.
Puri is quick, easy to made and delicious recipes. Beginners also can made made puri easily with some efforts. I love puri with potato curry.
In North India, Puri and Aloo Subji is famous breakfast.
How to Make Puri
Ingredients
- 250 gm Wheat flour
- 1 tbsp Chickpea flour (Besan)
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp oil
- ½ tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin-coriander powder
- Water according requirement
- Oil for frying
Instructions
Take flour in a mixing bowl.
Mix all ingredients and add water till dough start to come together.
Keep stirring add more water, if dough is still dry. Dough should form a ball.
Dough should be medium hard. If it is too sticky, add a little flour.
Now knead the dough and divide in to small ball.
Roll out into 2-3 inch like puri.
Heat oil in a pan at medium flame.
Fry puri till it becomes golden brown.
Serve hot with Batata nu Shaak , Shrikhand, Basundi, Rabbadi and regular dish etc.
