Muthia Dhokla is a variation in Gujarati Dhokla. It is made using leftover veg or other items.
Ingredients
- 400 gm Bottle gourd
- 1 cup Wheat flour
- 1 cup Chickpea flour
- 1 cup Pearl millet flour
- ½ cup Suji
- 2 tsp Garlic paste
- 1 tsp Ginger paste
- 3 tsp Green chili paste
- 2 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Red chili powder
- 1 tsp Cumin coriander powder
- 2 tsp Lemon juice
- 1 tsp Sugar
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp Soda
- 2 tbsp Oil
- Seasoning
- 3 tbsp oil
- 3 tsp sesame seeds
- 2 tsp mustard seeds
- 6-7 curry leaves
Instructions
- Peel and grate the bottle gourd.
- Add salt, garlic paste, ginger paste, green chili paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin coriander powder, soda, lemon juice and sugar in it. Mix it well.
- Now add all flour in it and make dough.
- Divide in to muthiya shape.
- Add water in steamer bowl and place muthiya over it.
- Steam for 15-20 minutes.
- When it becomes cool, cut in to small pieces.
- Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, sesame seeds and curry leaves.
- When it is splluter, add muthiya and stir well.
- Serve with tea and catch up.
