Papdi Gathiya – Besan Gathiya
Papdi Gathiya with chutney, Sambharo, Fried Chilli and hot tea is bingo Gujarati Breakfast / Snacks combination. Papdi is one of famous and traditional Gujarati Snack.
Ingredients
- 3 cup Chickpea flour (Besan)
- 1 tsp Black pepper powder
- 1 tsp Baking soda
- Salt to taste
- 1 cup Oil
- 2 cup Water
- 1 tsp Asafetida
- Oil to fry
Instructions
First take chickpea flour in mixing bowl.
Add salt, soda, pinch of asafetida and black pepper powder, oil and water in the flour.
Knead the dough. Make dough soft and place on to frying spoon.
Take pan and heat oil at medium flame.
Press frying spoon to make papadi gathiya.
When papadi gathiya become crispy, take out to dish. And sprinkle black pepper powder and asafetida.
Store papadi gathiya in air tight container for 8-10 days.
