Vagharela bhaat (Stir fried rice) is famous Gujarati leftover recipe. Stir fried rice is tasty and easy recipe. Vagharela bhat with curd and sauté onions. This spicy flavor tastes delicious.
I always prefer to made stir fried rice with more spicy flavor during monsoon. As Gujarati, I always prefer to made leftover food. No waste, no haste! 🙂
Vagharela Bhaat (Vaghrela Rice)
Ingredients
- 4 cup cooked rice (leftover)
- 1 medium size tomato (chopped)
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 1 tbsp coriander leaves
- 2 tsp Oil
- 5-6 Curry leaves
- ¼ tsp cumin seeds
- ½ tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- Salt to taste
For seasoning
Instructions
Heat oil in a pan at slow flame.
Add curry leaves and cumin seeds in it.
When it is spluttering, add onion and stir well.
Cook till it appear light golden in color.
Now we mix tomato, salt, turmeric powder and red chili powder .
Stir and mix cooked rice.
Garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve with regular dish.
