Milk Seviyan (Sev Kurma – Vermicelli Kheer) is popular festival sweet. Gujarati families made Sev Kurma at any festival or occasions. During this holy Ramzan month, I share my favorite sweet recipe. Milk Seviyan is quick, simple and delicious sweet. There are many variant of Vermicelli Kheer, some people add khoya in it also. Here I post step by step recipes, I hope you will like my version of Sev Kurma.
Vermicelli Kheer – Seviyan – Sev Kurma
Ingredients
- 1 cup vermicelli (sev)
- ½ tbsp ghee
- 1 litter milk
- 1.5cup sugar
- 1 tsp custard powder (optional)
- 1 tsp cardamom powder
- 1 tbsp almond (grated)
- 1 tbsp cashew nuts (grated)
For garnishing
Instructions
Roast sev (Vermicelli) in ghee at slow flame for 2-3 minutes.
Keep a side.
Boil milk in a pan approx 15 minutes (milk taste is not appear)
When you see bubbles in milk, add sugar in it.
Take ½ cup milk from pan and dissolve custard powder.
Mix it with remaining boiling milk and stir well.
Stir it continuously till sugar dissolve.
Add cardamom powder and sev in it.
Stir well and cook till vermicelli become soft.
Garnish with almond and cashew nuts.
When it cools, set in to refrigerator.
Serve with after 1-2 hours.
